  1. Hi there,

I’m autistic and its my first pride, and I’m having a bit of trouble with understanding how things work.

What time does the parade officially start, and where abouts does it start? And where abouts do we watch from?

Also, how are public members just watching still allowed to dress up? Say with makeup and corsets? Not to partake but just to sideline. Or is that inappropriate?

Thank you, and sorry if these are stupid questions.

    Have a good day! ????️‍????

    Arin.

    1. Hey Arin, the Parade begins at the northern end of Ponsonby Road around 7:30 p.m. and proceeds southward towards Newton. Attendance is free, and while everyone is encouraged to dress up, it’s a family-friendly event. Alternatively, you can join the parade by participating through any of our community groups.
